Dr. Seung-taik Yang

Dr. Seung-taik Yang, President of Tongmyong University, has played a pivotal role in history of Information & Communication of Korea. He was a Minister of Ministry of Information & Communication of Korea from March 2001 to July 2002. President Yang was the first President of Information & Communication University from December 1997 to March 2001 and inaugurated as president of Electronics & Telecommunication Research Institute in 1992.

President Yang managed TDX development the foundation of IT Korea in ETRI, was a key player In the legendary success of CDMA in Korea. He has also been a key figure in Korea¡¯s growth as a Telecommunications powerhouse. Recently, he has devoted himself to combining IT and non-IT Fields and utilizing the power of technology for future education.


Dr. Roger Schank

Dr. Roger Schank is Chairman of Socratic Arts and Engines for Education, Inc. and John Evans Professor Emeritus in computer science, education and psychology of Northwestern University. Dr. Schank was formerly professor of computer science and psychology at Yale University and director of the Yale Artificial Intelligence Project. He founded the renowned Institute for the Learning Sciences at Northwestern University in 1989. He holds a Ph.D. in linguistics from University of Texas.

Dr. Schank was one of the influential early contributors to artificial intelligence and cognitive psychology. His major innovations in these fields were the concepts of case based reasoning and dynamic memory. Based on these concepts, he created a well-known learning and teaching model, Goal-based Scenarios (GBS). He is also the author of more than 20 books on learning, language, artificial intelligence, education, memory, reading, e-Learning, and Story-telling. Dr. Schank is currently devoted to make high quality affordable e-Learning for both businesses and schools.
